Vintage Notes:
The 2021 vintage began with reasonable weather throughout bloom and set. During the sizing phase, we experienced very warm
weather that affected berry growth on many varietals. In mid-March, while harvest
slowed due to moderate temperatures, the prolonged ripening period-maintained
vine balance and higher fruit quality. Overall, the 2021 vintage delivered yields
slightly below normal while upholding our desired fruit characteristics and quality
Picked by hand during the last week of April.
Fermentation Notes
The fruit was harvested on April 5, 2021, at optimum ripeness.
The grapes were hand-picked into 15-pound boxes and transported to the winery.
Initial fermentation, as well as malolactic fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks using the rack and return method of cap management. 100% malolactic
Tasting Notes
Quiñantu has a nice cherry bright color. With a strawberry and a hint of dry herbs fruity aromas stand out. In mouth is very juicy, fresh, light and honest wine that remembered the taste from the past. Medium bodied with firm but smooth tannin structure, it has a nicely textured mid-palate and a stylish finish. This wine goes very well with fish and pasta, also could be use like and aperitif. To drink now, but it will preserve their characteristics for at least 3 years. The perfect temperature for serving is 18-21°C.

Quiñantu preserves the purest of our identity, coming from the interior dry land of the Pencahue Valley Maule region. A place where the most traditional grape variety in the country has been grown since colonial times and today, we work with the same dedication and passion that our ancestors did. A mixture of simplicity of those who work this land and of this one that welcomed us more than five generations ago.
Quiñantu Assemblage, combines three varieties: the complexity of Cabernet Sauvignon mixed with the freshness of the Country, and the texture and aromatic intensity of Carignan, the softness of the mission grape that our father and ancestors grew in this land. A charming mix of two terroir, Maule Valley and Pencahue Valley
